Carolyn Simpson, MBA
Financial Advisor and Coach
Carolyn has been recognized as a leader throughout her career as one of the top Independent Advisors in Manulife’s Independent Advisor Channel, ultimately receiving the prestigious ‘5 Star Master builder Award’ earned by advisors that exemplify professionalism and service excellence. She is only one of 144 independent advisors in Canada to receive this award since its inception in 1961. She embraces both traditional and behavioural finance in her practice and has a gift for translating numbers into stories that are easily understood by all and inevitably are about much more than money.
So it wasn’t surprising when Carolyn became a condo owner and board director that she poured the same work ethic and passion into her volunteer work at HSCC627 and was honoured with CCI - Golden Horseshoe Chapter’s Ron Dank’s Leadership Award (2018). An award that recognizes condominium board members that have gone the extra mile to help their condominium community and who has the vision and innate understanding of the condominium dynamic that creates and fosters a sense of community in their corporation.
Carolyn’s experience in the financial services sector and as a condo board member is what led to the creation of our dedicated condominium and not-for-profit channel. She is passionate about making a difference to your condo’s financial heath and through advocacy efforts to all condominium owners in Ontario.
Eric Simpson, CFP, CLU, CHS
Senior Financial Planner
Eric is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS®).
These credentials are widely recognized as a mark of excellence in the financial services industry for Financial Advisors who raise the bar, developing effective solutions for more complex issues. Eric has quickly risen to be one of the top recognized professionals in his field for his work with high net worth individuals, families, professionals and businesses.
Given that condominiums and not-for-profits hold similar assets and are also faced with unique challenges it was a natural fit for Eric to offer his services to this sector.
He quickly earns the respect of boards and their other trusted professional advisors - lawyers & accountants - and fills the critical position of Financial Planner on the condo’s team.
Following a comprehensive financial review Eric will be responsible for investment recommendations. His licensing provides him access to best-in-class products from many providers.
Maria Rabiasz, MBA
Consultant
Maria is a highly respected and experienced Senior Finance and Business Development Executive with a comprehensive background spanning credit and risk analysis, marketing, strategy, management, and business development.
A fixed-income expert Maria has been invited to speak at many conferences and authored CBRS's Guide to Conservative Fixed-Income Investing.
Maria has held senior positions with Canadian Bond Rating Service and Standard & Poor’s.
More recently as a Senior Consultant to Not-for-Profit foundations she has provided investment policy design and investment manager selection / oversight for the tendering and placement of eligible investments.
Maria’s wealth of experience and industry network are key to our product development and advocacy efforts for Ontario condominiums.
